I was just mining around, getting a ton of mithril, and I thought; ' Mithril is strong, so why not an upgrade which changes how you look and gave you more health?' Then, I thought of colouring a Primary, Secondary, Optic, and Drill colour. This would only be available after you complete the story, but when you do, a new menu tab appears. Click on it and up comes a menu very similar to the engineering bay. Except, instead of upgrades, you click on either a yellow section, black section, optic or drill. then up pops up a menu which gives colours for each of the base minerals in the game, and a custom option. This will allow you to change that particular section to whatever colour you like. (imagine an awesome looking Glean robot with a red optic. Like, srsly.)
This would also help if full multiplayer mining was implemented. So there wouldn't have to be nametags and stuff.

It sounds like a good idea but idea on a full scale multiplayer map would seem a little too distant at the moment due to the current game design. Imagine if it was already made multiplayer as is, there would be too many holes in the ground and resources would be sucked up faster than a desert sun drying up water.
Even if there were reappearing resources and holes being filled, chances are that the players would either be killed outright by wreckless drilling of others, cave ins, explosions or anything else really. While personally, I think it's a cool idea, much would need to be changed from this base to make it feasible.
