See, with current scoring mechanics we can just stay at 0 by totally consolidating our base. But, to get any influence, we need to attack the others, so that we get points vs them. We cannot afford losing consolidation, as this will mean points deficit vs others, who will likely maintain consolidation. Commendations are not to be explicitly hunted for, maybe unless you don't have bonus time at the end of your initial playthrough (which is likely now, as some objectives have been removed, mainly "upgrade all to MkX" totaling 80 minutes of bonus time). If you need commendations, use daily quests to consolidate, otherwise I suggest the following plan of actions for ALL of the faction members:
- If consolidation is below 40%, consolidate.
- If consolidation is above 40%, select attack with lower faction percentage.
This will make it so that the percentages will stabilize around 40-30-30, so that consolidation will be successful, and we will have great chances at succeeding in both attacks. Even if not, they will likely fail consolidation, thus lose influence.
Actually, the best percentage will be 34-33-33, but people will have only a slim margin of error with this small percentage difference, which will cost a lot. With 40-30-30 we can also divert half of attacking force to the offending wing while still maintaining consolidation. This will however demand last minute actions from those not yet involved in the quest(s), and is bad for general "slow" playstyle people likely have there at Kongregate, and most likely elsewhere too.
Comments, critique and improvements are welcome.
