Whoever did not finish the upgrade part of the game, and has not seen the movie, please turn back now. You've been warned.
So. What do we have now... All three robots are growing on their own goal of existence. Karo-forgotwho (aerial, KA onward) wants machine supremacy, Erbium Sun wants recreation of aliens, and John Carbon wants to just get back to Mom. At least KA feels hostile towards others, but somehow does not decide to be independent of the Shuttle. ES has got himself a "cloning facility", and attempts to produce living aliens for no obvious reason. JC has made a distress call and now waits for Mom to save him and the others from this nothingness.
Expecting from their antics:
ES will fail miserably, given no fish in his vicinity is live bearing, I expect his aliens to not survive pre-birth period. Even if they would, he will have first to teach them something, so no technology could have been produced out of his efforts. Nice pets at most.
KA will reign supreme for some time, unless JC has a backup research nexus somewhere privately and unknowingly to KA. With that in hand, JC will eventually secure his own survival. ES can just hide underwater, and KA will not be able to reach him at all, he has no plating and engines capable of underwater movement. It's possible that without the shuttle KA will eventually run out of fuel.
There is a ton of possibilities with JC. At least: Mom heard/Mom did not hear - hehe, nice try JC. Mom comes/Mom does not come/Mom declares JC a mothership/Mom sends a rescue team, maybe more. JC dies vs KA or not. JC goes down to ES with modified/modifiable engines of his own, upgrading his body to sustain at least aquatic env. JC eliminates KA with denial of shuttle. KA can upgrade himself to sustain other environments too - surprise.
Shuttle's destiny is about clear. It's now a wreck, with storage compartments probably intact, but with no space travel possible. All robots still have access to its teleportation system and storage, but research nexus, emergency transponder and telemetries are destroyed. In fact, the most blame lies on ES, as without telemetries the shuttle has wrecked itself against some undetected asteroid. KA is the long-term culprit, as without Research Nexus the shuttle will not be able to be repaired (without Mom), and JC has actually sealed them out of Mom's detectors because the emergency transponder is needed for Mom to locate the shuttle. Hehe.
Performance-wise: KA has the best chances to survive alone, as aerial planets host all the minerals that exist in the Glean universe, and even trophies are somewhat accessible. Say, pure water can be obtained by collecting condensate from cellulose vines, viscera can be obtained by exploding turtles by dynamite (getting more lava will be troublesome, but a substitute for dynamite is an overcharged cell - anything that holds a ton of energy will do), chitin can be obtained from mushrooms/bacteria (evolution, maybe), and no one can get amber or ozone but KA. ES has the second best chances IMHO, as his cloning facility will eventually make him millipedes and turtles in ample amounts (oysters too, wood too!) and high energy can still be obtained by employing oil as a combustible. JC has the least chances, as terrestrial planets are largely devoid of life in this sector, and also no precious metals (gold, platinum) make it difficult to control the high energy outcome provided by burning coal, uranium or harvesting lava, and also to convert that energy into other forms as needed. But no one of them can (IMHO again) restore or make another shuttle alone, so they are stuck in this sector, inseparable (as the shuttle goes, the fuel generator is still operational) and unable to make a consensus of their own.
