From a discussion on ZuperGames fb-Site came some ideas, that I want to post here:
1. Easy/medium/hard modes. Devs suggested a hard mode with some nasty features after completing Glean 2 once (I like that one)
2. Radar jamming radiation
3. Magnetic ore sticking to the mining vessel, making it heavier and heavier...
4. Gastyz commented the game on Kongregate at Jan. 5, 2014: "Exploding because lack of fuel is a little annoying, you could just immobilize the vehicle until the player goes to the inventory and convert stuff into fuel." (He´s got a point)
5. "Iron run". If you remember playing Diablo online like me, we ventured down to the dungeon with new chars never to return to the town again to buy items, potions and stuff. Equipping what we found, it was a one way ticket to hell. The Glean 2 Iron Run could be like mining down a planet with infinite depth, no chance to return to the mothership, repairing and refueling only with materials you got in your cargo bay.
More to come, I think.

Hi every one! First, sorry for my english, it's not my mother tongue. I hope I'll be understandable I think a iron run would be very great, but maybe a little repetitive(?) without others challenges that repairing and refueling? Or maybe with "nasty features" in a hard mode (a good idea too). For my part I would suggest three simply things. 1/- Can you make a another button for upgrading? I saw many comments on this on Kongregate and at first it's a little annoying. It would be more intuitive and comfortable in game and for new players. 2/- Spawn more Turtles... Because viscera seems to be a rare material, perhaps for upgrading at my point it's one of the usefull items. Or I'm doing something wrong in game? When I was playing the preview I could find just one or two turtles in a planet (where I could go). So when the screen said "you complete the preview" by visiting 50 planets, I was just like "Oh Mon Dieu!" (oh my god!). Otherwise, if you don't want to raise the spawn what do you think about a rare planet with lot of life? Maybe smaller and more difficult because of the monsters? Or some rarely nests? 3/-It could be nice to have some goods surprises like this in game (like many games in fact, you know that filling when you have 1% chance to find THE item and you got it ). Some specials items for a collection, I don't know? They don't have to be necessary in upgrading. ps : thanks for making a glean2!!! You're making nice games

This different modes thing is a good suggestion. I think we could have more thing to make the hard mode worse.
1) Make the gases slowly fading away if you drill in them. Going to the ship with other materials and coming back with unloaded storage or harvest the gas will be hard question this way.
2) Going down in the aquatic world is too easy, maybe the easiest, if you have repair kit. Let the pressure slow down the robot, because the drills are deformed more and more. The plating could remove it, but this will make the "submerge and repair" drills less eficient. You couldn't drill the normal 4-5 material, but fewer, depending how much you are under the safe pressure.

I played the game until the very end with many mk-4 gear. I maximalized only 3 or 4. We need to "force" the players to upgrade all.
Drill power, drill resonance, drill speed is essential, so not upgrading them could have some disadvantiges(other gears could have this disadvantiges too if you think so). There should be: can't drill, chanche to get the material, always get the material. I got orichalum with mk-3 drill speed. Isn't it too easy? This is just a thought, so feel free to change it.

I played the first Glean quite a bit, so here are some of my thoughts:
1. I liked the old upgrade screen better. Having to scroll through all those inventory pages, not as nice, imo. 2. More "arcadey" elements to aerial levels, to further differentiate them, might be good. Like more enemies, etc. 3. Is automatic healing / refill going to be default for the entire game?
